Beijing: where to eat.

Post  danny on Sat Jan 08, 2011 12:02 pm

Here is a couple of places one can try out to eat at when in Beijing:

Beijing Duck:

1. A very large chain for Beijig Duck that a young Chinese friend took me to. QuanJude
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] A bit pricey. But a nice dinning experience.

2. Highly rececommencd by some westerners for the experience of Beijing Duck in the vanishing Hutongs

(Hole in the wall type restuant) of Beijing:

Liqun Duck Restaurant (Just read a couple of Mixed reviews)

Beijing Old man's noodles house ( Old Beijing Zhajiang Noodle King ): Not expensive

( I am pretty sure this is the Noodle house that my friend brought me to. It was frequent by mostly Chinese...I did not see any westerners. It was a great experience.

I am not 100% sure about all my facts but I am pretty sure. Beijing is such a large city and when is being lead around sometime things gets lost in the translation.
Please note i just wanted to start a thread on restaurants in Beijing. Perhaps help someelse can help out. Thanks

Any other recommendation;

danny

Cool I will see if I can find any of these. Since I'll be on my own, I will lean towards restaurants with pictures on the menu though Razz
